Job Description

Are you a maintenance leader who knows what it takes to keep a production plant running without interruption?

We are recruiting for a Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance, engineering, and facility operations within a high-volume food manufacturing environment. This is a leadership role with direct impact on plant performance, equipment reliability, and operational efficiency.

You will oversee maintenance strategy, lead capital projects, and manage teams supporting production lines that include breading, batter, and fryer systems, along with critical utilities such as refrigeration and wastewater.


Why This Role

Plant-Level Ownership

You will be responsible for the performance, reliability, and long-term sustainability of plant operations.

Leadership Visibility

Work directly with senior leadership while managing maintenance and engineering teams on the floor.

Project Responsibility

Lead capital initiatives, equipment installs, and plant modifications that directly impact production output.

Compensation

  • $130,000 to $150,000 base salary
  • Flexibility for highly experienced candidates

What You Will Do

  • Lead all plant maintenance operations and reliability efforts
  • Develop and implement preventative and predictive maintenance programs
  • Support production systems including fryer, batter, and breading lines
  • Oversee refrigeration and wastewater systems
  • Manage capital projects including plant upgrades and expansions
  • Coordinate vendors, contractors, and external partners
  • Ensure full compliance with OSHA and safety regulations
  • Lead and develop maintenance and engineering teams
  • Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues in real time

What We Are Looking For

Required Experience

  • 5+ years of maintenance leadership in food manufacturing
  • Experience supporting fryer, batter, or breading systems
  • Knowledge of refrigeration and wastewater systems
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting background
  • Experience working with PLC systems

Technical Capability

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Understanding of plant systems and equipment layout
  • Experience with budgeting and capital planning

Leadership Profile

  • Hands-on and accountable
  • Able to operate in a fast-paced production environment
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability
  • Effective communicator across all levels of the plant

Work Environment

This role operates within an active manufacturing facility and includes exposure to production areas, varying temperatures, and industrial equipment. Candidates should be comfortable working in a plant environment as needed.
