American Plastics, headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri, is a leading designer and manufacturer of innovative plastic-injection molded products for the household & garage storage and commercial cleaning end-markets. We are searching for a Maintenance Manager for our Simpsonville, SC location.


The Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and reliability of equipment, machinery, and facilities to ensure smooth and efficient operations for our 24/7 operation. This position will report to the Plant Manager.


Responsibilities:

•Lead and manage Maintenance team delegate task and responsibilities

•Schedule and assign projects as needed

•Schedule and assign preventive maintenance as needed

•Schedule and assign predictive maintenance as needed

•Monitor and manage spare parts inventory

•Hold weekly continuous improvement meetings with staff

•Work with outside contractors as needed

•Manage and maintain the maintenance budget controlling cost to optimize resource allocation to meet financial goals

•SAFETY: ensure that maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.

•Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance equipment reliability.

•Implement best practices and innovative solutions to increase efficiency.


Expectations:

•Lead the Preventative Maintenance Program for all machinery, auxiliary and support equipment

•Lead the Predictive Maintenance Program for all machinery, auxiliary and support equipment

•Refine and develop data tracking for downtime, PM's and work order system

•Manage the root cause analysis approach toward trouble shooting with entire staff

•Manage the skills assessment and training needs for direct reports

•Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance activities with production schedules.



Requirements:


•B.S. degree in related field or in lieu of experience will be considered

•7 years previous experience as Maintenance Manager

•Strong knowledge of machinery, equipment, and manufacturing processes.

•Plastic Injection Molding experience preferred

•Excellent leadership and team management abilities.

•Basic understanding of Lean Principles


Essential Job Requirements:


•At least 18 years of age.

•Eligible to work in the United States of America

•Pass a Pre-Employment Drug Screen & Authorize Background Check
