Maintenance Mechanic (Night Shift) Apply
Summary Shift: Night Shift The Maintenance Mechanic supports daily shop operations by performing routine maintenance, basic mechanical repairs, facility upkeep, and equipment support. The role focuses on keeping production equipment, forklifts, and the facility in safe working condition. The position is hands‑on and ideal for someone with strong mechanical aptitude who can troubleshoot issues, perform general repairs, and respond quickly to shop needs. No formal certifications are required. What You’ll Do Perform basic mechanical maintenance and minor repairs on shop equipment and machinery. Refill and monitor propane or fuel levels for forklifts and ensure units are ready for daily operation. Conduct routine inspections of forklifts, equipment, and facility systems; report issues that require advanced repair. Perform general facility maintenance and repair, including: Minor plumbing, electrical, and lighting repairs Door, dock, and hardware repairs Basic carpentry, patching, and painting Assist with preventive maintenance tasks such as lubrication, filter changes, and equipment cleaning. Respond to maintenance requests from Production and prioritize work to minimize downtime. Support equipment setup, movement, and basic installation as needed. Maintain maintenance tools, supplies, and parts inventory; communicate reorder needs. Keep work areas organized, clean, and safe. Follow company safety policies and OSHA requirements. What You Bring Strong mechanical aptitude and hands‑on troubleshooting ability. Experience using hand tools, power tools, and basic shop equipment. Ability to perform a wide range of general repair and facility maintenance tasks. Self‑motivated with the ability to prioritize and work independently. Dependable, responsive, and service‑oriented with a strong safety mindset. Ability to work in an industrial environment and lift up to 50 lbs. Education | Experience High school diploma or GED required. 1–3 years of maintenance, mechanical, construction, automotive, farm, or industrial experience preferred. No certifications required.
