Facility Maintenance Mechanic – Allendale, NJPosition Summary/ ObjectivesThe Facility Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible to perform maintenance, calibration, and repairs to manufacturing and facility equipment. This position ensures the continuity of improving safety, productivity, yields, reliability, and manufacturing costs. The successful candidate will possess a high degree of professionalism, maturity, and confidentiality. Essential Job Functions:Maintains production and quality by ensuring operation of equipment, machinery, and work environments.Maintains general facility equipment to ensure production plants are fully functional.Performs minor repairs on facility (ex. spackling, plumbing, painting), as the need arises.May perform preventive maintenance and calibration work on manufacturing equipment as needed.Troubleshoots and resolves recurring equipment issues and improves reliability.Disassembles and repairs equipment and instruments.Makes recommendations regarding safety and facility operation procedures and when equipment needs to be replaced instead of repaired.Ability to work in a cleanroom environment and maintains strict compliance with company cGMPs and documentation rules.Competencies:Meaningful InnovationOwnership/AccountabilityPace/EfficiencyTeamwork/CollaborationIntegrity/Ethical PracticeResilience/GritEducation, Experience and Certification:This position requires a minimum of GED/high school diploma or an Associate degree in a relevant field and requires a minimum of 7 years’ experience working as a mechanic.Solid ability to follow written and oral instructions with minimum supervision.Ability to understand and follow standard operating procedures.Good communication skills and ability to receive instructions both verbally and in written form.Experience identifying problems and taking independent initiative to solve.Ability to work from blueprints and drawings in constructing and repairing equipment as well as understanding facility layouts.Must be able to accurately document work in both written and electronic form.
