My client, a leading manufacturing of silicates, located in Chester, PA is seeking a full-time Maintenance Mechanic. This role will utilize your electrical and mechanical experience to both troubleshoot and provide maintenance on a variety of industrial equipment from pumps to conveyors and beyond.  You’ll be responsible for the efficient, cost-effective maintenance repair and preventive maintenance of all equipment, buildings and facilities.

You’ll work independently within a team-based, safety-first culture.  This role comes with a strong benefits package, PTO and a Monday through Friday schedule – no weekends for a great work life balance!

My client’s products are used in a wide variety of industrial processes and many customer products, from decorative paints to green cement, from clean drinking water to green tires and from toothpaste to biofuels and beer.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Performs mechanical and electrical repair of all equipment associated with operations.
  • Installs machinery, pipes, structural steel, etc. at a multi-plant location.
  • Specify and purchase replacement parts and equipment.
  • Operates in compliance with all health, safety and environmental rules and regulations.
  • Knows and complies with all corporate & plant policies and procedures.
  • Interprets and reacts to instrumentation readings to control the process.
  • Diagnoses problems and determines course of action to solve or correct situation.
  • Ability to self-direct assignments and complete in a safe and efficient manner.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Industrial Maintenance Experience 5+ Years Preferred
  • Completion of 4 Technical Trade Courses or Apprentice Program
  • Electrical Knowledge 480V MCC Buckets – Troubleshooting and Minor Repairs
  • Welding Experience
  • Able to follow Written and Verbal Instructions
  • Able to Demonstrate Basic Computer Skills
  • Must Demonstrate a Strong Work Ethic (Attendance, Attitude, Etc.)
  • Understanding of LOTO, Hot Work, Line Break, SOP, Etc.
  • Ability to pass forklift certification course.
  • Up to 50 Lb. lifting requirement
