Job Description: We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial equipment maintenance and repair. As the Equipment Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that customers restaurant equipment is always running well, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance, diagnosis, and repairs on various equipment items such as, ovens, fryers, griddles, heat lamps, toasters, and other cooking equipment.
- Conduct periodic Hotline equipment preventative maintenance; including belts, chains, greasing, oven doors & hinges, etc.
- Collaborate with Ideal AZ Project Manager, to help customers to understand their equipment needs, offer recommendations, and perform agreed to repairs, installations or upgrades.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance schedules, repairs, and parts inventory.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns and ensuring satisfaction with our services.
- Assist any additional helper(s) on-site, ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality workmanship.
- Coordinate with project managers and subcontractors to ensure the project's success.
- Read and interpret spec sheets, plans, and specifications.
- Manage the project schedule, ensuring all tasks are completed on time.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Monitor material and equipment usage, and coordinate deliveries to the site.
- Solve problems and troubleshoot issues that may arise during projects.
- Keep accurate work orders and pictures of daily activities, work progress, and labor hours.
- Communicate proactively and efficiently with team members and management.
Qualifications:
- Work experience in general construction, handyman work, or carpentry are preferred.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time efficiently.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for client interactions.
- Technical certification or relevant degree is a plus.
- Prefer 5+ years of experience in construction, with a minimum of 2 years in restaurant construction or similar projects.
- Knowledge of construction safety regulations and best practices.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
