US Citizens or Permanent Residents only 2nd Shift Swift Summary The Maintenance Mechanic performs preventative maintenance and repair operations necessary to keep plant property, equipment, machinery, and tools in good operating condition. The incumbent diagnoses problems and works in many varied and diversified capacities required in general maintenance, overhaul, and repair of plant equipment, processes and facilities. Maintenance Mechanic I Duties and Responsibilities Interprets mechanical drawings, including Hydraulic and Electrical Utilizes conventional and precision measuring instruments Builds and/or modifies equipment in accordance to established specifications to meet specific project requirements Repairs and/or modifies existing and new products in accordance with established specifications and procedures. Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned Additional Requirements Must have own tools Promote continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices Education GED or better.
