Position Overview:

The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for maintaining the facility, utilities, and chemical production equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and GMP-compliant operations.

Organizational Relationships:

• Reports to: Director of Engineering – Facilities
• Supervises: None

Key Responsibiltiies:

• Perform preventative maintenance per work orders.
• Maintain and repair facility equipment, utilities, and production systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.
• Follow all safety procedures (lockout/tagout, ladder safety, confined space entry, forklift operation).
• Support GMP compliant maintenance activities.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
• Practical understanding of chemical facility operations.
• Knowledge of GMP requirements for API environments.

Training & Experience:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum five years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

Working Conditions:

• Combination of office, facility, and production environments with moderate noise.
• Standing for extended periods (>6 hours/day).
• Exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals.
• Moderate physical activity; ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Requires use of a respirator.
