About the Role
The Maintenance Mechanic 3rd Shift is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining mechanical and electrical equipment to ensure safe and efficient plant operations. This role emphasizes preventive maintenance, accurate documentation, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical malfunctions in plant equipment.

Identify and report potential issues to prevent downtime.

Inspect equipment for proper operation and safety compliance.

Document work performed, corrective actions, and parts used.

Respond quickly to breakdowns and emergencies to minimize production delays.

Lubricate and service equipment according to maintenance schedules.

Perform preventive maintenance and complete required reports.

Participate in cross-training and rotate across different plant areas as needed.

Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum 2 years of experience in maintenance.

Familiarity with industrial equipment and food/feed manufacturing operations.

Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Proficient in MS Office and basic computer use.

Strong organizational, documentation, and communication skills.

Ability to learn new systems and processes.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements

Work in a fast-paced industrial plant with varying temperatures and noise levels.

Routinely lift up to 60 lbs, climb ladders, and work at heights.

Exposure to industrial equipment, dust, and temperature extremes; PPE required.
