The Maintenance Planner reports to the Maintenance Manager and develops accurate job plans for each scheduled job including parts, labor, and instructions, to ensure safe and efficient maintenance to support the plant's production capabilities and the completion of capital projects. You will also determine the appropriate maintenance work to schedule through proactive communications with maintenance planning prioritizing the highest value or most critical work. You will coordinate the timing of all required resources, both internal and external, maximizing resource allocation and minimizing equipment downtime. How You Will Make an Impact: Ensure planning activities are aligned with EHS compliance requirements Develop work packages and templates for maintenance jobs to allow efficient scheduling, assignment and execution of maintenance work Create and issue preventive/predictive maintenance work orders and inspection routes Review work requests with Production to identify all potential issues/reduce added scope Maintain accurate equipment specifications, info, parts lists (BOMs), and equipment maintenance history in ERP/CMMS and SAP Plan spare parts usage including quantity, costs, lead time, availability, etc. Provide backup support to generate a maintenance schedule within the site's scheduling tool to efficiently and effectively utilize available resources Manage work order priorities and validate schedules Confirm material availability and coordinate parts/materials delivery and staging Manage and achieve metrics including: Daily and Weekly Schedule Attainment Work Order Delays PM Compliance Planned Backlog Participate in post PM and completed Work Order quality reviews Ensure that jobs are scheduled to satisfy all Corporate Quality Requirements and ISO9001 Quality Management System Practice Responsible Care14001 through active participation in the Responsible Care Management System and adhere to the Guiding Principles of Responsible Care 14001 Creating Extraordinary Starts With: High School Diploma or equivalent required Preferred five years general craft experience (e.g. Mechanical, Electrical, Instrument) Minimum of two years' experience in maintenance planning Operational knowledge of ERP/CMMS; experience with SAP ECC; experience with Prometheus Office software e.g. MS Office About Us Essential Solutions with Extraordinary Results SI Group is a global leader in the innovative technology of performance additives, process solutions, active pharmaceutical ingredients, and chemical intermediates.
