JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Maintenance Planner (MP) position for the Rock Hill facility will report directly to the Maintenance Manager and will work functionally with all Department Managers, Engineering, & EHS. As the (MP), you will manage the eMaint X5 CMMS program, procure & maintain the parts inventory (MRO), grow the preventative maintenance strategy (PMs), and develop maintenance work instructions (SOPs).Key ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with the Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Supervisor, Lead Maintenance Technicians, and Production to coordinate scheduled maintenance work, procure parts, and develop maintenance strategiesManage the eMaint X5 CMMS program; initiate/finalize work orders, establish assets, develop preventative maintenance procedures, equipment work instructions, and inventory control, etc. Manage the parts/material inventory room (MRO); identify parts, purchase, label, & inventoryCoordinate service providers and equipment/material vendors.Conduct contractor & vendor orientation, training, and permitting.Provide equipment-related expertise and technical guidance to management on maintenance and repair processes.Work with Engineering to ensure all PSM & Mechanical Integrity requirements and compliance standards are applied.The (MP) will help enforce, promote, and exemplify safe work practices and company safety initiatives such as LOTO, PPE, etc.QualificationsEDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent, supplemented by vocational or technical training in mechanical maintenance/repair or mechanical engineering is preferred. College-level coursework in project planning and supervision is a plus.EXPERIENCE: Minimum of five (5) years of industrial maintenance and repair experience, including two (2) years of prior experience planning & scheduling maintenance and repair work. A combination of education, specialized planning, data entry, and scheduling experience may substitute for prior experience.KNOWLEDGE: Working knowledge of pumps, motors, general and specialized parts, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, welding, and mechanical equipment typically used in manufacturing and process operations required. Computer skills, experience with inventory management, and Computerized Maintenance Management System software is necessary.PPG pay ranges and benefits can vary by location which allows us to compensate employees competitively in different geographic markets.
