Summary:
LEAD Technical is currently looking for a Maintenance Planner for our client in the North Melbourne area. In this role, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating all preventive maintenance activities, managing work orders, analyzing maintenance data, and supporting maintenance technicians with system training and process improvements. This is a DIRECT HIRE role that is available immediately.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, schedule, and manage preventive maintenance activities to support equipment reliability and reduce downtime
- Create, update, and maintain PM tasks and work orders within the maintenance system
- Track PM completion and follow up on missed or overdue work
- Coordinate maintenance activities with production to balance priorities and minimize operational impact
- Review completed work orders for accuracy, follow-up needs, and potential improvements to PMs
- Analyze maintenance trends to identify recurring issues and improvement opportunities
- Work with inventory teams to ensure critical spare parts are available when needed
- Participate in weekly planning meetings to confirm labor, parts, and tool availability
- Support and train maintenance personnel on SAP PM work order and PM processes
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance or reliability coordination.
- Proficiency in SAP PM module is required.
- Working knowledge of inventory control, CMMS/PM systems, and work order management.
- Broad understanding of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic systems in a production environment.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills; capable of identifying issues and recommending technical solutions.
- Knowledge of process-related standards and industrial maintenance best practices.
