A day in the life As the Maintenance Planner Scheduler , you will manage modifications to existing equipment and facilities as well as oversee preventive maintenance in your assigned area. You will be responsible for managing all work orders and preventive maintenance (PM) activities, assisting with the control and oversight of the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System), and supporting parts inventory management. Responsibilities Maintenance Planning and Scheduling: Evaluate work orders for feasibility and secure necessary approvals. Organizing tools, parts, and equipment, utilizing the kitting process to optimize efficiency. Estimating labor hours and material requirements for maintenance tasks. Prioritizing and scheduling work to align with production needs and deadlines. Maintaining accurate machinery history, scheduling documentation, and safety compliance records. Overseeing all Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and Autonomous Maintenance (AM) activities to support equipment reliability and continuous improvement. Quality Assurance and Process Improvement Implementing and monitoring processes to meet quality standards and improve production efficiency. Collaborating with teams to optimize machinery usage and production processes. Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to ensure product quality and maintain compliance with food safety standards. Complete and follow FSQA training and programs to comply with regulatory requirements, ensure consumer safety, and support the plant’s quality objectives. Promptly report and take appropriate action on any observed or potential food safety hazards, process deviations, or non-conformities by notifying the designated plant supervisor, in accordance with your role and responsibilities. Contribute to the continuous improvement of the company’s Food Safety Culture through engagement and actions aligned with your role. Do you have what it takes Basic Qualifications A degree in scheduling or maintenance/mechanical background work experience. 2 – 5+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment. Preferably in a process-oriented operation and/or related industry. Food/quality/safety experience in manufacturing environment. Proven experience in continuous manufacturing using lean tools (5S, TPM, Six Sigma or similar). Proven experience with the development and management of department budgets. Proven knowledge of food quality standards, federal, state and local regulations. General understanding of GMP, HACCP, Quality – Standards (ISO, AIB, Siliker). Excellent Excel skills and working knowledge of MS Office. Strong interpersonal, managerial and leadership skills required, strong focus on accountability. Excellent communication skills and the ability to speak, read, and write English fluently, with or without an accommodation. Ability to work with individuals at all levels within the organization. Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment, proven problem solving skill sets. Preferred Qualifications Formal training in maintenance standards “Lean” sanitation, food, safety, regulatory Second language (Spanish) a plus.
