Maintenance Supervisor – 1st Shift
Location: Opelika, AL
Pay Range: 65k-95k/year
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: 1st Shift (Onsite)
Are you an experienced Maintenance Leader who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment? We’re hiring a Maintenance Supervisor to lead a team of technicians and ensure equipment and facilities run safely, efficiently, and reliably in a high-volume food production setting.
What You’ll Do:
- Supervise daily maintenance operations, ensuring timely completion of work orders and quick response to equipment breakdowns
- Schedule and oversee preventive maintenance for production machinery and support equipment
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 10–20 maintenance technicians
- Partner with production teams to minimize downtime and meet production goals
- Monitor spare parts inventory and ensure equipment readiness
- Track and report key maintenance metrics (downtime, efficiency, performance)
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, USDA, and safety standards
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reliability and productivity
What You Bring:
- 3–6 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- At least 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Experience with preventive maintenance programs and troubleshooting equipment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documentation
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with CMMS systems and Microsoft Office tools
Nice to Have:
- Experience in food manufacturing or USDA-regulated environments
- Background in refrigeration, boilers, or PLC systems
- Experience with continuous improvement or lean manufacturing
