JOB DESCRIPTION:

Job Description:

  • Tracks the production losses and abnormally high maintenance cost assets and determines ways to reduce associated losses and/or high costs, prioritizing efforts on the largest/most critical opportunities.
  • Performs root cause analysis and facilitates implementation.
  • Develops standard work procedures for the maintenance department, including preventive maintenance, repairs, and setup of equipment, and trains others to perform these activities.
  • Helps develop design and installation specifications and commissioning plans for new equipment.
    Participates in the development of criteria for evaluating equipment.
  • Works with the production team to analyze assets including asset utilization, overall equipment effectiveness (OEE), remaining useful life, parameters that define operating conditions, and reliability.
  • Provides technical support to production, maintenance management, and technical personnel.
  • Immediately advises site leadership of any significant maintenance problems causing or having the potential to cause delays or shutdowns of operations and works expediently toward resolving issues.
  • Partners with the production leadership team to develop operating procedures that help sustain reliability and incorporate operator preventive maintenance activities.
  • Evaluates, coaches, trains, and leads millwrights and electricians.

 

Job Requirements:

  • BS in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering; may substitute a minimum of 7-10 years of maintenance and/or reliability experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Candidates with 3-5 years of previous supervisory or team leader experience.
  • Previous reliability, engineering, electrical, and/or mechanical training or certification is a plus.
  • Ability to develop training material and train others to perform precision maintenance.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks/projects and meet all required deadlines.
  • Good understanding of safety and the desire to follow all established procedures.
