We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician with electrical experience and a strong mechanical background to join our team. This role is critical for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our equipment and facilities. JOB SUMMARY: As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical & electrical systems and equipment within our wallboard manufacturing plant. You will work closely with our production and automation teams to ensure all machinery and systems are functioning efficiently and safely. QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred. Proven experience in electrical systems (wiring, troubleshooting, controls). Strong mechanical aptitude (hydraulics, pneumatics, gear systems). Ability to use diagnostic tools and read technical documentation. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. Previous experience with OSHA standards is preferred. Flexibility to work various shifts and overtime as needed. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems. Troubleshoot and repair equipment, including motors, conveyors, and control systems. Read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings. Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies. Collaborate with other departments to minimize downtime and improve processes. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders and inspection reports, using a Maintenance Management System. Ensure adherence to all safety protocols and regulatory requirements. Practice good housekeeping principles. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency. Must have a phone and understand that he/she will be subject to shared callout responsibilities, in which every effort will be made to distribute equitably. Other duties as assigned.
