Here at Faltec America we do Automotive plastic injection molding.We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to undertake the responsibility of maintaining production and facility equipment. You will perform maintenance tasks of great variety. Maintain all machinery in a state of good repair as well as general building maintenance. Examine equipment for defects or operating problems, identify causes and repair. Also perform preventative maintenance and lubrication to insure minimal equipment failure and downtime. The goal is to maintain the equipment, buildings and common areas in the best condition possible to keep production running. The ideal candidate is someone with a strong desire to learn, previous experience with injection molding machinery and also with an electrical background.___________________________________________________________________JOB DUTIES:The Technician will maintain both the equipment and facility in a state of good repair which includes periodic examination of equipment for defects or operating problems. When problems are identified, the person will perform mechanical, electrical and robotic repairs on equipment in such a manner as to minimize downtime and must work with outside contractors as well as all associates working on the production floor to install or repair equipment.Complete daily checklist to ensure production equipment is running consistentlyWork with production/quality teams to ensure production parts are up to company standards.The Technician will be required to maintain a clean and safe work area while wearing all required personal protective equipment and following all safety procedures such as lockout and tag out and fall protection.The Technician will be required to perform other duties as directed by Maintenance Leader/Production Manager.SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY:Be familiar with all manufacturing equipment. Recommend suggestions/solutions where feasible and practical.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES-Must have a basic understanding of electrical systems and troubleshooting skills.-Must be able to complete assigned tasks in a safe timely manner.-Be self-motivated and possess good organizational skills.-Be able to meet deadlines through effective time management skillsFlexible availability for overtime, holidays, and weekends are required.Demonstrates ability to operate machines, hand-tools and electrical equipment.Possesses an operational knowledge of automated industrial machinery, and pneumatic systems.Demonstrates ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings and work orders.Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills with practical, mechanical, and electrical aptitude.Possesses basic troubleshooting experience and proven skills in machine repair.Demonstrates strong written and oral communication skills.Demonstrates the ability to follow directions and work well in a team.Welding, machining and fabrication experience a plus.This person must possess excellent communication / people skills, both verbal and written.Analytical and critical thinking, mechanical aptitude, and manual dexterity are a must as well as knowledge of pneumatics and basic electrical systemsMust possess a high level of physical stamina and the ability to lift up to 75 lbs. on a routine basis.Ability to read and interpret blueprints and instruction manuals to aid in repairing and troubleshooting equipment.On the job training will be performed, but person must be willing to learn.Job Type: Full-timePay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hourBenefits: Dental insuranceHealth insuranceVision insurancePaid time offSchedule: *This position trains on first shift for 6-8 weeks*8-hour shiftEvening shiftOvernight shiftOvertimeWeekends as needed
