Shift: 2nd 
Hours: 1:30 PM - 10:00 PM
Days: M-F
Hourly Rate: $30.00
Overtime: Possibility (paid after 8 hours each day) 
Start Date: ASAP (ideally) 

Requirements

  • Experience with preventative maintenance
  • Maintenance in a manufacturing setting (preferred)
  • Candidate must have PPE: Steel toed leather boots and lift belt - No Exceptions.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English.
  • Lift 45lbs consistently.
  • Able to sit, stand, and bend for 8 hours a da

 

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician for our [First or Second] Shift to join our team in the food manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will have at least six (6) years of experience in food production maintenance, a strong understanding of OSHA regulations, and a keen attention to detail. This role requires technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

 

Daily Tasks

· Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on food production equipment, ensuring optimal functionality and minimal downtime.

· Follow preventative maintenance schedule.

· Troubleshoot and repair boilers, PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and industrial steam cooking equipment.

· Ensure compliance with OSHA safety regulations, food safety guidelines, and company policies.

· Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic system issues.

· Utilize computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to track maintenance activities, work orders, and inventory.

· Oversee contractors on site when professional repairs are needed.

· Collaborate with production teams to optimize equipment performance and efficiency.

· Conduct equipment inspections, document findings, and recommend improvements.

· Assist in equipment installations, modifications, and upgrades.

· Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to 5S and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) principles.

· Test functionality of facility safety systems.

· Fabricate new equipment as necessary.

What You Need to Succeed

· 6+ years of maintenance experience in the food manufacturing industry.

· Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and safety compliance.

· Experience with HMI, boilers, PLCs, VFDs, and industrial steam cooking equipment (highly preferred).

· Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and control systems.

· Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Computer literacy, including experience with CMMS, Microsoft Office, and automation systems. Experience in Deacom a plus.

· Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.

· Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

· Experience with welding.

 

Physical Requirements

· PPE: Steel-toed slip resistant leather boots and lift belt required.

· Ability to stand or walk for 8 hours.

· Bending/Flexing/Extending

· Frequently grip, reach, lift, or pull with both hands.

· Ability to lift 45lbs consistently.

· Ability to read, write, and understand English.

· Detail oriented and follow instruction without fail.

· Experience with welding.
