Our client, a growing manufacturing company in Chicagoland is hiring a maintenance technician.  This is a full time employee position with competitive pay, stable & growing career path, great benefits package.
The Maintenance Technician is responsible to effectively perform all the required duties of the Maintenance Mechanic Department position in an accurate, thorough and safe management.
What you will be doing:
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams.
  • Troubleshoot, repair and replace electrical systems to the component level.
  • Understand and repair industrial electrical systems.
  • Install, maintain and repairs equipment required to meet production needs.
  • Install services and repairs electric motors, heaters, coolers, refrigerators, and other related equipment using various hand and power tools.
  • Move and replace machinery and auxiliary equipment.
  • Fabricate and assemble test parts as needed.
  • Replace fuses, light bulbs and other electrical equipment following electrical specifications.
  • Disassemble and reassemble slicing and packaging equipment.
  • Ability and willingness to assist in training.
  • Resolve problems while providing innovative solutions.
  • Ability to safely and effectively work on plant facilities of various forms.
  • Maintain records and prepare reports related to the work regarding equipment, supplies and materials.
  • Prepare written reports on projects and equipment conditions.
What you need to bring to this winning team:
  • Knowledge of tools, equipment, and materials common to the electrical trade.
  • Knowledge of electromechanical repairs and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of electrical application for high and low voltage electric system.
  • Skill in the installation, repair, and maintenance of all types of electromechanical system equipment and components.
  • Knowledge of complete range of system controls including power / motor circuitry, relay logic
  • Experience in developing, specifying, and installing new/upgraded PLC/Process controls and AC drives preferred.
  • Skill in both verbal and written communication.
