Maintenance TechnicianThe Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing piping spool and valve installation/removal, rigging, blinding, and pipefitting activities in industrial environments while maintaining strict adherence to company and client safety policies and zero-incident work practices. This role supports mechanical piping maintenance operations, interprets isometric and P&ID drawings, conducts inspections, operates hand and power tools, and performs manual labor tasks with minimal supervision. The position also requires knowledge of hydro testing, energy isolation, purging/venting procedures, confined space entry, respiratory protection, and safe execution of maintenance activities in demanding field conditions.Essential DutiesThis position is a shared resource between the Kuparuk and WNS Fields.Perform piping spool/valve installation and removal, rigging, blinding, and minor pipe fitting.Lead crew by example in implementing safety policy and procedures.Promote safe work practices and adhere to company and client safety policies and procedures for work performed, including proper hazard recognition and mitigation of task.Demonstrate adherence to established safety policies and procedures and accept accountability for safe work practices.Ability to follow all policies and procedures and work in a safe and productive manner.Routinely perform safety and productivity observations, shop, field, and vehicle inspectionsDemonstrate support for the company's environmental management system.Perform manual labor including operating hand tools and power tools.Performs manual labor activity, such as cleanup, hauling, stacking materials, shoveling, handling steel material and valves.Knowledge of structural and mechanical piping maintenance operationsInterpretation of Isometric and P&ID DrawingsKnowledge of various skilled tasks as required for a piping maintenance operation.Working knowledge of rigging and piping bolt-up techniquesKnowledge of and ability in blinding and pipefitting techniquesKnowledge of piping, valve installation, and specifications.Ability to participate in the respiratory protection program.Ability to work in confined spaces.Ability to perform piping spool installation and removal.Ability to perform maintenance asbestos gasket removal.Ability to work with minimal supervision and be capable of performing assigned tasks with limited general technical guidance.Tank and Vessel coating experience preferred.Ability to wear a full-face respirator or supplied air while performing essential duties.Some scaffold knowledge preferred.Knowledge of steam, Purging and venting, Hydro test, and Energy Isolation procedures.Comply with Company and customer policies and procedures.Support AES zero-incident safety culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations.Other duties will be assigned to this position as needed.Required ExperienceMust be authorized to work in the U.S.A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.A valid (U.S issued) Driver's License is required.A North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC) safety training certification is required.The ability to work 80.5 hours a week on a 3x3 rotation is required.At least four (4) years of experience in mechanical piping, rigging, and general piping as a Maintenance Technician specifically in the Petrochemical or Oil and Gas industry, on the North Slope, and/or in other Arctic environment is required.Preferred ExperienceAn Asbestos 40-hr certification is preferred.Total RewardsASRC Energy Services, LLC is proud to offer a competitive benefits package aligned with our core ASPIRE values.
