Maintenance Technician Apply
Join the Maintenance Team at our Beautiful Oceanfront Hotel! ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Perform maintenance on the physical structure, pool, and surrounding areas of the property. Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment and guest rooms. Handle repairs regarding painting, plumbing, electrical work, HVAC functions, drywall repair, and more. Knowledge and safety using both hand tools and power tools. Notify management of any major repairs or additions needed for lighting, heating, or ventilating equipment. Utilize specifications and work accurately to precise measurements. Perform arithmetic calculations to determine materials needed and inspect products for quality. Respond promptly to guest service requests as per company policy, keeping detailed records of completed tasks. Stay accessible and maintain communication with Front Desk Agents and General Manager for any maintenance needs. Maintain Material Safety Data Sheets and ensure par stocking of necessary supplies and materials. Learn and follow emergency procedures to ensure the safety of all guests and staff. OTHER DUTIES: Assist the Engineering or Maintenance team with special projects as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. SAFETY AND DOCUMENTATION: Follow all safety protocols and use proper PPE. Document completed work orders and property management tasks. Report hazards or unsafe conditions immediately. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum of two years' maintenance, repair, or engineering experience. Minimum of one year of customer service experience. Ability to communicate clearly and speak, read, write and understand English. PREFERRED: Previous luxury hotel or property experience. Certification from a trade or technical maintenance program. Familiarity with Microsoft Office or hotel-specific maintenance software. Bachelor's Degree PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to stand or walk for extended periods (up to 6 hours per shift). Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis. Ability to push/pull up to 250 lbs. occasionally (e.g. carts, equipment, etc.). Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, stretch, kneel, climb ladders, and reach overhead to fulfill tasks. Must possess manual dexterity to operate tools and equipment. Ability to lift and move materials, climb, balance, and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
