Maintenance Technician/Operations Supervisor Apply
Job Description
Best Burn Firewood is a fast-growing, family-owned company that supplies premium kiln-dried firewood across multiple channels. We service national retailers like Sam’s Club with firewood across the country, regional partners such as Kwik Trip, multiple state parks and campgrounds, over 25 restaurants, and thousands of residential customers across Southeastern Wisconsin, Northern Illinois, and the Chicago area. In the spring and summer months, we also operate a mulch business.
We’re not looking for just another employee. We’re looking for the right person—an A-player who takes pride in their work, steps up when needed, and wants to be part of something long-term. This is someone who can be dropped into any situation and figure it out. Someone motivated, dependable, and interested in growing with a company—not blending into the background.
This is a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same. Everyone works hard here, and everyone pitches in. Your primary responsibility will be managing all aspects of maintenance, but you’ll also assist with managing yard operations. This role is second in command, filling gaps wherever necessary to keep things moving. This is by no means a "grunt" labor position, but it is not a desk position. It is hands on.
Starting salary: $75,000. Higher starting pay possible based on experience.
Full health benefits, 401(k) match, and PTO included.
We’ve taken this company from the ground up to levels we never imagined—and we’re not done. There is real opportunity here. Compensation for true A-players is never an issue.
