Maintenance Technician
Powder Springs, GA
6:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. M-F
Full Time Position
$20 - $25/hr.
Job Duties:
- Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on all production machines
- Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems, and testing instruments
- Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques and monitors compliance.
- Maintains equipment, parts and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies, placing and expediting orders and verifying receipt.
- Prepares mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
- Respond quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel, and follow safety protocol.
- Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing technical publications, and establishing personal networks.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
