Hire Direct Inc. is currently interviewing Maintenance Technicians to join a stable, growing company with a positive work environment in Reidsville, NC. These positions are Direct Hire with opportunity for growth, overtime, and positive safe work environment. The ideal candidates for this position must have mechanical aptitude, electrical experience, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance understanding.

Hourly Pay Rate:

• $30.00 depending on experience, would require testing for position.

Work Schedule:

• 6 days with one off day weekly, that is scheduled in advance.
• 2nd shift and 3rd shift available.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment, including both mechanical and electrical systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with electrical circuits, motors, control systems, mechanical components, ovens, grinders, mixers, conveyors, etc.
• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals for proper installation and repair.
• Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to identify areas for improvement and efficiency in the maintenance process.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and inventory levels.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and best practices during all maintenance activities.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance in a food manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, including motors, PLCs, control panels, and electrical troubleshooting.
• Solid mechanical skills with experience in hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, gearboxes, and mechanical repairs.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical blueprints and schematics.
• Knowledge of industrial safety standards and procedures.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Physical Demands/Work Environment:

• Required to sit or stand and move about the facility.
• Must be highly safety cautious and able to work in a cold environment.
• Occasional lifting of items not to exceed 50lbs.
• Withstand environmental temperature changes throughout the facility, combination of office and plant environment.
• Exposed to any number of elements, but none presents to the extent of being disagreeable.
• May be required to use safety glasses while preforming specific tasks.
