We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper upkeep and maintenance of our facilities and equipment. Your main duties will include conducting repairs, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring the safety and functionality of various systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mechanical systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently. Location : Reserve Plant Responsibilities : Perform repairs and preventative maintenance to production equipment. This includes but is not limited to: observing equipment in operation to determine root cause of problem, disassembling equipment to gain access to and remove defective parts, examining parts to detect imperfections, adjustment of functional parts of equipment and control instruments, repair and/or replacement of defective parts, testing of equipment to observe performance, performing tests for electrical circuitry and mechanical systems, reconditioning and repairing machine tools. Identifies parts, supplies and repair items as necessary. Provides support and back up for other members of the department as needed by leadership. Is aware of Maintenance Industry Standards. Assures compliance with 5S and housekeeping standards. Participates in CI activities - processes, results, and cost savings. May be required to setup and operate simple machining operations including but not limited to lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts. May perform basic welding tasks. Updates records and reviews CMMS (MPulse) history. Performs basic troubleshooting of control systems circuitry. Completes technical self-study programs for career development. Follows all safety related policies, rules, regulations, technical instructions, and guidelines. Situational awareness and identifying unsafe behaviors and conditions. Other duties as assigned. Physical Demands and Working Conditions : Regularly required to: Stand walk use hands/fingers to handle, or feel reach with hands and arms Climb, ascend/descend or balance to heights that may require a ladder or lift Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl in confined spaces and talk or hear. Use close vision and color vision Occasionally required to: Sit Lift and/or move more than 50 pounds. The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions. Work is typically performed in a factory environment and is usually very loud. In the factory environment, the employee may be exposed to hazardous materials and/or greasy or slippery factory floors. Qualifications : High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational or technical certification in maintenance or related field is a plus Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role Proficient in the use of hand and power tools Understanding of basic electrical and mechanical systems. Can perform repairs. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently Attention to detail and strong time management skills Good communication and teamwork skills Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects as needed Ability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods of time. Ability to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 50lbs or more. Capability to perform in both hot and cold plant environments Company Requirements: Adhere to workplace safety policies and guidelines.
