Position: Maintenance Technician
Location: Sterling, VA (Plant: 4106 Wheeler Ave., Alexandria, VA 22304)
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Compensation: $65,000 $75,000 annually

Work Schedule:

• 1st Shift: 6:00 AM 2:30 PM

• 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM 10:30 PM

Position Summary:
The Maintenance Technician ensures the efficient and reliable operation of high-speed processing and packaging equipment in a food manufacturing facility. This role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production machinery to minimize downtime while upholding strict food safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot, install, repair, and maintain production and processing machinery

• Work with hydraulic, pneumatic, and robotic systems, motors, pumps, conveyors, and cooking equipment

• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues

• Read and interpret electrical schematics and technical manuals

• Develop and perform preventive maintenance programs

• Accurately complete maintenance logs, work orders, and reports

• Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and all safety procedures

• Support setup, startup, adjustments, shutdowns, and equipment changeovers

Qualifications:

• Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of control systems

• Proven mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals

• Manufacturing or food production experience strongly preferred
