is hiring Maintenance Technicians for our Client in Swanton, VT.

Job Description: As a Maintenance Technician Class A, you will be responsible for a diverse range of tasks related to manufacturing and facility maintenance. Your primary duties will include receiving, cleaning, and maintaining various fluids and filters, performing maintenance tasks on manufacturing and warehouse equipment, and ensuring the general upkeep of the facility.

Pay: Based on experience, up to $32.50
Shift Differentials: 10%

Shifts to select from:
• 2nd shift hours Monday – Friday 3 pm -11:30 pm, Training will be Monday – Friday 7 am – 3:30 pm
• 3rd shift – 11 pm- 7 am, Training will be on 1st shift 7 am -3:30 pm

Maintenance Technician Essential Job Functions:
• Receive, clean, and maintain cutting fluids, preservatives, wash fluids, and filters.
• Handle and maintain hazardous and non-hazardous fluids and waste streams in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Perform maintenance and preventative tasks on manufacturing and warehouse equipment.
• Undertake carpentry, plumbing, and electrical tasks for facility upkeep.
• Possess strong knowledge and understanding of air handling units, mechanical room equipment, and lean dispatch systems.
• Operate manual or motorized forklifts, scissor lifts, pallet jacks, and other facility equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing, and electrical issues.
• Fabricate fixtures and build items to support manufacturing processes.
• Adhere to company policies, ergonomic standards, and safety requirements.

Maintenance Technician Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent education and experience.
• Minimum of 5 years' work experience or formal education in an industrial environment.
• Proficiency in hydraulic and pneumatic operations and repair, lathe and milling machine operation, plumbing, carpentry, and welding.
• Basic industrial electrical skills and knowledge of proximity switches, motors, fuses, and interlocking mechanisms.
• RCRA, DOT, and HAZWOPER certifications (company-sponsored classes).
• Ability to read blueprints, perform basic math functions, and operate forklifts.
• Moderate-strong computer skills and familiarity with Windows and non-Windows platforms.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently and in a team.
• Quality-oriented with attention to detail and familiarity with LEAN principles.

Additional Requirements:
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• May be required to travel for seminars and training sessions.
• Employment is contingent upon passing a criminal background check and drug screen.

Tools & Equipment Used: A wide variety of machinery, hand tools, power tools, and facility equipment, including but not limited to lathes, surface grinders, welding equipment, forklifts, and computer systems.

Work Environment: This position operates within a drug and alcohol-free workplace and reports to the Maintenance Team Leader and Manager. The work environment may include exposure to noise, dirt, dust, odors, chemicals, varying temperatures, and areas requiring strict adherence to safety procedures.
