What this job involves:
 

The Maintenance Mechanic plays a vital role in ensuring optimal facility operations by supporting inspection, maintenance, and repair processes for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment across assigned facilities. This hands-on position combines independent task execution with collaborative support to MES Mobile Engineers, maintaining the high standards of facility operations that JLL clients depend on. You'll be responsible for comprehensive facility maintenance spanning interior and exterior areas, installed systems, and equipment, directly contributing to client satisfaction and operational excellence while ensuring safe, functional work environments that support business continuity.

What your day-to-day will look like:

• Performing ongoing preventive and repair response work orders on facility mechanical, electrical, plumbing and other installed systems, equipment, and components

• Conducting assigned facility inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting on conditions that impact client occupancy and operations

• Executing general interior maintenance tasks including hanging pictures, installing keyboard trays, repairing office furniture systems and doors

• Assisting operations teams in building and equipment maintenance and repair efforts as directed by management

• Moving office furniture, machinery, equipment and other materials as requested by clients and facility teams

• Replacing lighting and ballasts, cleaning HVAC coils, changing filters and belts to maintain optimal system performance

• Updating work order status in real-time and utilizing CMMS systems such as 360 Facility for all work performed while escalating issues to customers and managers promptly

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent education

• Minimum of 1-3 years of applicable working experience in general building repair and maintenance, basic plumbing, and basic electrical work

• Valid state driver's license with ability to maintain clean driving record (will have an end client vehicle on site that can be driven around for work, all on the same campus)

• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs and climb up to 30 ft ladders safely

• Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills

• Compliance with all required licenses as mandated by local authority having jurisdiction

• Ability to pass background, drug/alcohol, and MVR screening processes

Preferred Qualifications:

• Third-party certifications in relevant trade areas

• Advanced experience with CMMS systems and work order management platforms

• Knowledge of State, County, and City building codes, ordinances, and safety regulations

• Experience with hazardous materials storage, usage, and disposal procedures

• Defensive driving certification or training

• Previous experience in commercial facility maintenance or property management environments

• Familiarity with comprehensive safety protocols and hazard assessment procedures
