Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Machine Technician to join our team in a dynamic manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in industrial maintenance, with a focus on troubleshooting and repairing various machinery. This role requires proficiency in working with programmable logic controllers, hydraulics, and HVAC systems, as well as the ability to read and interpret schematics. The Machine Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance of our equipment while providing excellent customer service.

Duties

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment within the manufacturing facility.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to programmable logic controllers (PLC) and other automated systems.
  • Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking maintenance activities.
  • Conduct inspections and tests using precision measuring instruments such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools.
  • Work with hydraulic systems and perform necessary repairs or adjustments.
  • Assist in technical sales by providing insights on equipment capabilities and maintenance needs.
  • Operate scissor lifts safely to access elevated work areas for maintenance tasks.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with safety standards and protocols.
  • Provide field service support as needed, addressing customer concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an industrial mechanic or technician within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in industrial maintenance.
  • Familiarity with HVAC/R systems is preferred; HVAC certification is a plus.
  • Experience working with high voltage and low voltage electrical systems.
  • Ability to read schematics and technical drawings effectively.
  • Excellent analysis skills to diagnose problems efficiently.
