Banyan Living is a prominent company dedicated to the ownership and management of luxury apartment communities across the greater Cleveland and Akron areas. We are currently seeking a talented Maintenance Technician to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are committed to providing exceptional service and maintaining our high standards.

The Maintenance Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring the upkeep and proper functioning of our properties. You will be responsible for addressing maintenance issues, performing repairs, and maintaining the overall quality of the living environment for our residents.

Key Duties:

  • Conduct routine inspections and perform preventative maintenance on buildings and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, and HVAC issues promptly.
  • Respond to maintenance requests from residents in a courteous and efficient manner.
  • Assist in ensuring units are prepared for occupancy, including thorough cleaning and repairs.
  • Maintain common areas and grounds, ensuring a clean and attractive environment.
  • Document maintenance activities and maintain records of repairs and inventory.
  • Adhere to safety standards and comply with company policies.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a maintenance role, preferably in residential properties.
  • Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact positively with residents.
  • Proven problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
  • Physical ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Willingness to work on-call and respond to emergency maintenance requests as needed.
