As a Maintenance Technician V, you will join our Maintenance Team, focusing on improving process reliability, product quality, and overall plant performance. This role requires expertise in instrumentation and control systems, with responsibilities in installation, configuration, calibration, and maintenance of control, measurement, and indicating instrumentation. You will also manage SCADA devices in an industrial setting, handle PLC and PAC programming, and maintain plant process control systems.
Key Responsibilities- Review diagrams and technical documents, such as schematics, manuals, standards, and codes.
- Maintain backup and revision documentation for control systems and instrumentation.
- Manage SCADA-type devices and configure/program PLCs and PACs, including Allen Bradley controllers.
- Organize and order PLC control components to support plant operations.
- Collaborate with corporate IT on network and computer activities.
- Prepare technical reports documenting equipment issues and modifications.
- Manage projects to implement process changes and improvements.
- Be on call to support production needs.
- Install and terminate electrical, pneumatic, and fluid connections.
- Inspect and test instrument operation to diagnose faults; repair, adjust, and replace components as needed.
- Calibrate components and systems, conduct scheduled maintenance, and stay updated on industry technology advancements.
- Work with engineering on plant design, modifications, and hazard analysis.
Some of the instruments include transmitters, analyzers, sensors, detectors, signal conditioners, recorders, controllers, and final control elements. These are used to measure and control variables such as pressure, flow, temperature, and chemical composition.
Requirements- Education: High School diploma or GED required; Associate's degree, specialized training, or Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience, including proven skills in PLC logic and programming with Allen Bradley PLCs.
- Technical Skills:
- Ability to create and read logic and flow diagrams for design, programming, simulation, testing, and start-up.
- Proficiency with Lean Manufacturing principles.
