We are hiring a Maintenance Worker for one of our clients in Lorton, VA.

Job Description:

• Residential collection of trash, recycle, and yard waste on established routes Rides on a platform on the rear of collection truck between stops, frequently stepping off and on the step Empties trash and recycle carts into truck using cart lift Operates compaction mechanism on trash truck
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions Assist driver with various task during collections, safe backing Daily task to include cleaning facilities, removing trash and litter based on assignment Ability to work in a team environment.

Skills Required:

• Ability to read, understand, and implement instructions
• Ability to perform medium to heavy manual labor
• Ability to work in inclement weather
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Ability to comprehend and comply to safety practices
• Ability to maintain effective relationships with customers, employees and supervisors.

Experience Required:

• Any combination of experience and training related to medium to heavy manual labor.

Experience Preferred:

• Some experience in residential trash, recycle and yard waste collection procedures and routes

Education required:

• Any combination of education, experience and training equivalent to completion of the tenth grade

Work hours:

• 5:30 AM to 2:00 PM.
