THE POSITION

This position gives you the opportunity to perform administrative work in the management of properties including fiscal services, property management, as well as occupancy and resident selection. Our mission is to develop, manage, and administer quality housing for low and moderate-income persons and to promote economic growth and quality living environments in our communities. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this role, you will be responsible for the management and efficient operation of an assigned property or properties in accordance with procedures of the housing authority and federal regulations. Work will involve a variety of administrative functions such as collection and accounting for rents and other charges, preparation and maintenance of reports and accounts, interior and exterior unit inspections, and participation in the budgetary process for the authority. Work may also involve functions related to the social aspects of property management and requires constant coordination with staff members of the authority. Your work will be performed with considerable independence but is subject to review by an administrative superior through conferences and review of reports.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
  • One (1) year of experience in performing tasks associated with the management of multi-family housing developments, or properties owned or administered by public housing agencies; or
  • One (1) year of comparable business, industrial, or professional employment; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Other Requirements:

  • You must meet the PA residency requirement. For more information on ways to meet PA residency requirements, follow the link and click on Residency.
  • Hiring preference for this vacancy will be given to candidates who live within Washington County. If no eligible candidates who live within Washington County apply for this position, candidates who reside in other counties may be considered.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
