Join the City of Chaska as a Management Analyst and assist in shaping the community’s future. This dynamic position works across Administration, Community Development, and Engineering, using data-driven insights to support strategic planning and policy decisions. Collect, analyze, and interpret data to produce reports, forecasts, and dashboards that support policy analysis, program evaluation, and strategic decision-making. Research, analyze, and recommend policies, strategic initiatives, and regulations. Support and assist in implementing strategic initiatives and long range plans. Lead and assist with projects and programs by administering and implementing programs/services, serve as a project manager, track timelines and budgets, and coordinate across departments. Conduct budgeting, financial analysis, and financial compliance on projects, including monitoring project budgets, working with Finance Division on fund allocation, preparing and managing cost estimates, and reviewing invoices for payment. Coordinate grant applications, implementation, agreements, reporting, and compliance. Oversee and maintain contracts, bids, and agreements related to administration, community development, and engineering projects. Work with Communications staff to provide content on policies, strategic initiatives, and programs/projects. Performs all other related duties as requested or assigned. Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in public policy, public administration, community development, engineering, or a closely related field with relevant experience. Desirable: Master’s Degree or working towards Master’s Degree in public policy, public administration, community development, engineering or a closely related field. Valid driver’s license or ability to obtain by start date. Other Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of governmental organizations, administrative procedures, and operations. Excellent written and oral communication skills, including good interpersonal skills. Proficiency in use of personal computers, with experience using MS Office applications. Ability to analyze data and make sound conclusions. Ability to interpret and apply policies and procedures. Ability to convey facts and recommendations relating to assigned projects and activities in a concise way through verbal and written communication. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to analyze financial data and budgets. Ability to navigate multiple and sometimes competing priorities. Equipment used Computer Telephone Office equipment such as copier, calculator, etc. Mental Effort High attention to detail Deadline management Organizational skills Ability to analyze data and financial information Coordination and communication with various City departments and public entities High level creative thinking and problem solving Physical Requirements Operate a computer and basic office equipment Sit or stand at desk for long periods of time Working Conditions General office environment #J-18808-Ljbffr
