Duties

The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a technical authority/lead project facilitator across the command for Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) initiative. Advises management and colleagues on difficult problems, conducts special studies, and proposes options and
alternatives representing the command. The organizational goals or objectives of this position are to provide command-wide advice, guidance, and expertise in developing and disseminating policies and guidelines for the CPI initiative.


Duties

  • Provides technical direction in project management, team building, facilitation, process improvement analysis, and the methodology required to develop and substantiate a business case for the selected project.
  • Researches and recommends appropriate actions or interpretation of issues that impact the organization, command, or agency, and which affect the structure and future work of the organization to senior leadership
  • Directs, coordinates, and oversees project/study work. Serves as the project leader for enterprise level projects as a subject matter expert (SME).
  • Provides technical direction in project management, team building, facilitation, process improvement analysis, and the methodology required to develop and substantiate a business case for the selected project.
  • Serves as the recognized technical advisor to the installations across the component/command in CPI.

GENERAL EXPERIENCE experience, education, or training in administrative, professional, investigative, technical, or other responsible work which demonstrates analytical ability and a practical and theoretical knowledge of the functions, processes and principles of management. Experience using computer and automation systems.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE Must posses at least 36 months of specialized experience which provided a detailed knowledge of the National Guard organizational structures, functions, procedures and techniques. Experience analyzing and interpreting policies and the procedures of higher headquarters/management as to applicability to current policies. Experience presenting and discussing complex matters in a clear and convincing manner. Experience in communicating with people from various backgrounds and circumstances.
