Manager, AccountingThe Manager, Accounting directs the daily activities of the division's accounting function including cost and general accounting, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. Assist in the development and monitoring of appropriate internal controls.This position will serve our 2J Supply Division, located in Dayton, OH.ResponsibilitiesPrepares accounting and financial reports, schedules, and statements such as accounts receivable invoice registers, accounts payable invoice registers, amortization schedules, payroll distribution, trial balances, and profit and loss.Oversees monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close and financial reporting.Assists internal and external auditors with periodic auditing or the organization's financial records and statements.Reconciles and adjusts bank accounts to manage cash flow.Reconciles subsidiary accounts to control account, tracing discrepancies to original documents, and initiate necessary adjusting documents.Assists in the summarized accuracy of information related to scrap reporting.Analyzes and classifies accounting documents containing data to be distributed to several separate accounts.Assists in taking and costing physical inventories periodically on raw material, material in process, and finished goods, and assist in the record keeping on expendable tooling inventories.Prepares detailed financial, cost and accounting statistical reports for management purposes.Administers and monitors sales tax reporting.Provides direct supervision over Accountants and Accounting support. Provide performance feedback, coaching and mentoring.Other duties as assigned.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.7+ years of work experience in Accounting or Finance functionSupervisory experienceKnowledge of business-to-business pricing principles and techniquesGeneral understanding of accounting principlesExcellent communication skills, written and verbal, with attention to detail and accuracy.Proficient computer skills and in-depth knowledge of relevant software such as MS Office Suite. Advanced knowledge of Excel required.Demonstrated ability to work well with others in a matrix team environment.Demonstrated experience solving complex business problemsHOW TO STAND OUT:Masters in Business or related fieldManufacturing and/or two-step distribution industry experience preferredAs a leader at Rheem, how you achieve results is as important as the results you achieve.
