Essential Position Responsibilities - This is a Salary Exempt position. Deliver Business Analytics & Insights Develop and maintain analyses delivering insights across the BU at both an executive summary and an individual contributor level of detail. Analyze daily/weekly/monthly trends across Customers, Segments, Production locations and more, highlighting exceptions and surfacing actionable information. Communicate gaps to the plan and work with partners to mitigate. Be both a student and a teacher in the art of storytelling with data, delivering the fact-based insights and recommendations from large data sets in a concise, compelling fashion. Develop and maintain Business reporting suite utilizing internal and external data sources Key point of contact for the development and maintenance of new and current reporting and dashboards within the division. Build, develop, and maintain data models, reporting systems, data automation systems, dashboards and performance metrics support that support key business decisions. Oversee the data/report requests process: tracking requests submitted, prioritization, and approval. Lead cross‑functional projects using advanced data modeling and analysis techniques to discover insights that will guide strategic decisions and uncover optimization opportunities. Perform complex data analysis and make recommendations based on results. Drive Data Governance within the division Implement best practices for data generation, storage, accuracy, and consumption within the division. Work cross‑functionally with IT, BI, and Sales Operations group to ensure accuracy in source of records certified for use across the broader organization. Develop roadmap for new data source integration with partners to enable blended data sets with automation. Ensure new processes are in alignment with the standardization focus of the organization. Accelerate continuous improvement and automation of reporting, dashboarding and tools Manage and optimize processes for data intake, validation, mining, and engineering as well as modeling, visualization, and communication deliverables. Participate in the planning of and lead the implementation of multiple sophisticated projects simultaneously. Identify data source gaps and support the advancement to eliminate irregularities, incongruencies, and anomalies. Collaborate with Senior Leadership and Peers Work within Sales, Marketing, Demand Planning, Supply Chain, Finance and Operations to ensure optimal visibility to business performance is in alignment with cross‑functional department needs. Work will be partially routine maintenance, partially request‑based based on business needs, and partially proactive based on opportunity areas identified by the Manager Business Analytics & Insights. Educate and train members across the BU on data structure and tools to drive engagement in self‑service analytics. Maintains and fosters strong communication and relationships across organization Works to be an active clearinghouse of ideas, concerns and activity on behalf of the full commercial team. Acts as a champion for the business and team. Acts as an idea leader, building compelling and persuasive business cases to ensure alignment, gaining broad‑based support for and resource allocation to the activities of the team. Participates as a member of the Team Participates in the ongoing development, communication and implementation of team concepts, programs and policies; coordinates work to ensure best practices with all team members. Attends appropriate team meetings. As a member of the Team, fosters strong cohesiveness regarding all major issues; e.g., direction, annual plan, budget, policy changes, etc. Accepts responsibility to quickly identify any areas that lack cohesiveness, bringing them to the attention of the team leader and working with the team in a supportive manner to resolve issues and actively look for ways, and reinforce actions needed, to achieve synergy possible within the larger organization. Simmons Operating systems principles and objectives Is familiar with Simmons’ established operating systems (e.g. quality, security, office environment, company policies, LEAN); understands the responsibility to maintain familiarity with the systems and this position’s role in support of these systems - including a consideration of the impact of individual actions on the systems and the responsibility to communicate concerns and improvement ideas. Move about in a manufacturing environment, office environment, and surrounding property. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) As required by visiting facility. Travel Travels as needed; to and from multiple facilities, sometimes requiring overnight stays. Technical Experience Ideally 3-5 years of experience in Business Analytics, Sales Analytics, Category Management, or other relevant area. Highly proficient with MS Office applications; advanced skills in Excel required. Comfort with using data mining software; Tableau and Alteryx competency highly preferred. Industry Experience Preference for food processing or high‑velocity consumer packaged goods background. Minimum Education Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Analytics, Marketing, Supply Chain, or other relevant business discipline or 4 years related work experience.
