Position Purpose:
The Manager of Business Intelligence & Analytics is a hands-on leader responsible for developing, operationalizing, and maturing Rosecrance’s enterprise analytics function. This individual will serve as the critical bridge between the technical data infrastructure team and clinical, operational, and executive leaders across the organization.
The Manager will lead efforts to produce accurate, actionable, and timely insights; drive standardization of enterprise KPIs; support data quality and data lineage; and ensure alignment with Rosecrance’s emerging data governance structure. This role combines leadership, project management, analytic expertise, and strong business acumen.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required; preferred fields include Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Health Informatics, Public Health, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field.
- 5 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or healthcare analytics.
- Experience supervising staff or leading cross-functional analytic projects preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work with large datasets and multiple IT systems.
- Proven track record using Power BI dashboards or similar visualization tools.
- Working understanding of data governance and KPI standardization.
- Familiarity with healthcare data structures.

Essential Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Team Management:
- Lead a team of data analysts, fostering a culture of curiosity, accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Act as a “player-coach” to independently analyze data while also delegating, training, and reviewing the work of others.
- Build strong relationships with cross-functional leaders (clinical, operational, and financial) to understand business needs and translate them into analytic solutions.
- Business Intelligence & Analytics Execution:
- Validate and analyze large datasets across multiple systems to produce clear, actionable business insights.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, scorecards, KPI reports, and visualizations that support real-time decision-making and enterprise performance improvement.
- Proactively identify trends, risks, and opportunities from the data and communicate findings to leadership.
- Create decision-support tools that help leaders interpret data accurately and consistently.
- Data Governance & Standards:
- Serve as a support for the Data Governance Committee, helping to set standards for data quality, definitions, access, and usage.
- Partner with IT, report writers, and data engineers to document and maintain data lineage, ensuring transparency in how data flows from source systems to dashboards.
- Co-develop and maintain Rosecrance’s data dictionary, ensuring enterprise-wide clarity on data elements, definitions, and KPIs.
- Work with stakeholders to standardize enterprise KPIs and ensure consistent measurement across operating companies.
- Support the migration of reporting to Power BI and ensure alignment with enterprise data strategy.
- Collaboration With IT/Data Infrastructure:
- Collaborate closely with IT, ensuring analytic needs are aligned with data lake development, reporting architecture, and infrastructure capabilities.
- Provide business requirements and feedback to IT for data engineering, system enhancements, and reporting optimization.
- Ensure report writers and data engineers understand the operational context behind analytic requests.
- Help translate technical concepts for non-technical leaders and ensure analytics solutions are grounded in real business needs.
- Operational & Clinical Partnership:
- Work with clinical, medical, and administrative leaders to identify key metrics, outcomes, and opportunities for improvement.
- Provide analytics support for continuous quality improvement, strategic planning, and operational efficiency initiatives.
- Project Management & Strategic Execution:
- Develop project plans, timelines, and milestones for enterprise analytic initiatives.
- Prioritize analytic requests based on organizational strategy, data governance principles, and available resources.
- Ensure delivery of accurate, timely reports and dashboards that meet identified strategic priorities.
- Support leadership in using data to drive decisions, action items, and continuous improvement.

Schedule: 8-hour shifts
- Shift: Monday-Friday 830a-5p
- Hybrid schedule available after training period
Pay: Based on education, experience and credentials
- Starting Pay: $120,000
Work Location: Rosecrance Rockford East– City, ST
- Onsite: The hiring manager is open to this role being located at the Rosecrance office nearest the selected candidate.
