We are seeking an experienced Machine Shop Manager to oversee all operations within our machine shop. The ideal candidate will have hands-on machining experience, strong leadership skills, and a proven ability to manage production, staff, and workflow to meet quality and efficiency standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of the machine shop, including production scheduling, workflow, and quality control
- Supervise, train, and develop machine shop staff to maintain high performance and safety standards
- Ensure all machinery, tools, and equipment are properly maintained and operational
- Implement and maintain standard operating procedures for machining, safety, and quality
- Monitor production metrics and implement improvements to optimize efficiency and reduce waste
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to support new product builds and modifications
- Maintain inventory of raw materials, tools, and machine supplies
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
Qualifications
- Proven experience managing a machine shop or manufacturing operations
- Hands-on experience with machining equipment, including CNC and manual machines
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Knowledge of production planning, workflow, and quality control processes
- Familiarity with safety protocols and OSHA standards
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
