Are you living your life\'s work? Hours : Full time. Primarily Day shift between 7:00 am and 3:30 pm Monday-Friday. Hours could vary between 5:45 am and 8:00 pm. Occasional Saturdays from 7:00 am to Noon. Summary Plans, organizes, directs, and supports Ambulatory Laboratory Services to ensure the overall effectiveness of its operation. May be responsible for one or more facilities within Lancaster General Health. Oversees operational efficiency, quality, and KPIs of ambulatory laboratory services in assigned region. Functions as the Process Improvement Coordinator and maintains a tracking tool to measure and monitor performance. Develops plans for departmental orientation, education, and training of staff. Plays an active role in the growth and development of assigned staff. In collaboration with the Regional Director of Operations, manages activities related to financial management for ambulatory laboratory services at assigned locations. Assists with budget preparation, manages departmental expenses, reviews monthly administrative reports for accuracy, and develops action plans to correct variances as appropriate. Works with Laboratory and Ambulatory leadership to optimize customer relations and meet service objectives. Facilitates communication, workflow analysis and process improvement to standardize ambulatory lab services across the health system. Ensures quality and safety of all ambulatory lab operations in compliance with regulatory standards and SOPs. Oversees Patient Access and Patient Financial Services activities related to the assigned sites and ensures patient registration policies are followed. Distributes reports and corrects errors according to guidelines for patient accounts and compliance purposes. Provides leadership oversight to significant projects within assigned ambulatory laboratory sites. Coordinates and participates in marketing of ambulatory laboratory services, new program development, expansion, and related activities as directed by the Regional Director of Operations. Serves as a patient experience advocate, maintaining customer service as a top priority and resolving customer concerns promptly. Monitors patient satisfaction and develops action plans as appropriate within the region. Maintains professional working relationships with office staff, physicians, clinicians, and management of referring facilities. The following duties are considered secondary: collaborates with Patient Access and Patient Financial Services to establish accuracy and productivity guidelines for staff; monitors order entry and posting of charges; responds to patient questions and may collect co-pays; maintains knowledge of IT software systems and ensures implementation into daily operations. Responsibilities and Qualifications Minimum Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Health Care Management or related field within two years of placement in position. Valid PA Driver’s License. Two years of supervisory management experience. Three years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably ambulatory or primary care. Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; able to communicate effectively with peers and leaders at all levels, physicians, and stakeholders. Knowledge and experience in data analysis and financial analysis. Preferred Qualifications Licensure as a Phlebotomy Technician, PBT ACP. Prior experience managing multiple laboratory modalities or ambulatory healthcare sites. Prior experience in a sales or business relationship role. Prior multi-department management experience.
