Manager, Contracts Administration 3Northrop Grumman Mission Systems Sector is seeking a Manager, Contracts Administration 3 to join their team in Charlottesville, VA. Preferred schedule is full time onsite in the Charlottesville office. A hybrid schedule requiring onsite work 2 weeks per month may be considered.What You Will Get To Do:The Manager Contract Administration 3 will lead Contracts and Customer Property strategy and compliance within the Maritime Systems & Integration (MS&I) Operating Unit (OU) reporting to Director of Contracts, Pricing, and Property of the Naval and Oceanic Systems (NOS) Business Unit (BU). This OU is comprised of a variety of different contracting arrangements including development, production, and the aftermarket with domestic and international customers. This position is perfect for the Contracts Manager that wants a broad scope; inclusive of:Full Rate ProductionCutting edge developmentLarge aftermarket business with opportunity to streamline/process improveInternational efforts that include Direct Commercial Sales (DCS) and Foreign Military Sales (FMS)The successful candidate will manage a team of both professional Contract Administrators and one Contracts Manager with their team of professional Contract Administrators. The selected candidate will have full responsibility for the entire Maritime Systems & Integration (MS&I) Operating Unit (OU). This OU covers work across Charlottesville VA, Ocean Springs MS, and Bethpage NY.Responsibilities:The Manager Contract Administration 3 will:Make decisions in a timely manner, offer guidance, and work cooperatively with a multitude of organizations ranging from technical, program, finance, supply chain, legal, export, and security.Review and approve contractual documents for protection of the company's contractual/risk posture, satisfaction of contractual requirements, and adherence to company policies. Therefore, a keen attention to detail is essential.Plan and execute successful contract negotiations of a complex nature and achieving targeted profit rates as well as favorable terms and conditions to assist in meeting profit and cash goals.Regularly and proactively interface and effectively collaborate with program, technical, and operations organizations in order to provide guidance and direction based upon the requirements of the resulting contracts.Solve complex problems by actively seeking information and new ideas from a variety of sources.Demonstrate commitment and energy to meet customer needs with the ability to provide concise and effective communication through presentation, written documentation, or email format with different levels of Management.Conduct proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications.Build strong customer intimacy and employee engagement to assist with growing this important business area.Qualifications:Basic Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution with 8 years of relevant experience or Master's Degree with 6 years of relevant experience in contract administration/management.Will consider 12 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree requirement.Working knowledge of FAR/DFARSExperience interfacing with all levels of employees and managementExperience using Microsoft Office Suite of ApplicationsPreferred Qualifications:Experience using SAPProven leadership skills, interpersonal skills, and ability to mentor and train assigned staffProposal development and negotiation skills and the ability to build strong customer relationsActive U.S Government Security ClearanceExperience managing peopleWhat We Can Offer You:Northrop Grumman provides a comprehensive benefits package and a work environment which encourages your growth and supports the mutual success of our people and our company.
