About the Role 

 

The Manager Group Sales is responsible for driving sales growth to meet and exceed individual and team revenue targets.

 

Position Responsibilities 

  •  Represent the hotel in the development of market segment(s) and new customer relationships while maintaining existing relationships with assigned accounts.
  • Respond to sales inquiries from potential clients and customers seeking sleeping rooms, meeting space, food and beverage services, etc.in a timely manner.
  • Conduct site visits with clients and participate in tradeshows, industry, and customer events.
  • Maintain an up-to-date pipeline of business opportunities that will meet the short and long-term business objectives for the designated market.
  • Initiate new sales, prospects and qualifies leads and solicits potential clients.
  • Prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, service accounts and analyze lost business for the hotel(s)
  • Work closely with revenue management to determine rates and identify need periods.
  • Attends weekly revenue and sales meetings to discuss and execute best strategy for achieving established sales and revenue goals.

Essential Functions 

  •  Exposure to casino related environmental factors including but not limited to secondhand smoke, excessive noise and hectic environments. 
  • Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and flexible shifts/hours. 
  • Travel to industry-related tradeshows

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel Administration, Business or Marketing
  • 1-2 years of Hotel Sales experience
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Delphi, Knowland and Cvent
  • Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English
