We are committed to helping members of the Masons of California and their families, a fraternal organization boasting over 50,000 members from diverse backgrounds, as well as those without Masonic affiliation.

Position Overview: We seek a dynamic, experienced, hands-on Manager of Outreach & Education to lead our statewide Community Outreach Program (Lodge Outreach) and MSW Internship Program. • Offer guidance and support to lodge leaders to enhance their outreach efforts.
  • Leverage technology to enhance training, education, and engagement with lodge members.
  • Implement and expand the Lodge Outreach Program, including developing initiatives to boost participation and engagement.
  • Conduct presentations and workshops at lodges and leadership retreats to increase program visibility and effectiveness.
  • Develop and utilize metrics to evaluate program success and prepare reports for the Director of Masonic Assistance and Outreach using Salesforce and other tools.

MSW Internship Program:

  • Design and manage the annual curriculum for the MSW Internship Program.
  • Serve as the Field Instructor for 1-2 MSW interns annually, providing direct supervision and mentorship.
  • Provide indirect supervision to MSW interns under the Community Outreach Educator's guidance.
  • Collaborate with Schools of Social Work to promote the program and recruit interns.
  • Facilitate client-intern matching to ensure impactful, supportive counseling.
  • Offer clinical guidance and oversee the MOS Social Circle virtual socialization program, including training interns to facilitate virtual social groups.

Collaboration and Strategic Development:

  • Contribute to the development and execution of operational and strategic goals for the MOS Department.
  • Work closely with other departments and Grand Lodge entities to align with organizational objectives and support the MOS mission.
  • Perform additional duties to support the department and organization's goals.

Requirements

  • Education: Master's Degree in Social Work required.
  • Experience: Experience in social work, community outreach, program management, and staff training is preferred. A background in mental health settings and working with senior populations is also preferred.
  • Skills: Proven ability to engage and inspire audiences, build positive relationships, and create high-quality training processes. Excellent writing, presentation, and interpersonal skills are essential.
