Position Summary Manager of Research Data At Stony Brook Medicine, the Manager of Research Data provides administrative support and interfaces with all levels of management throughout the hospital. Qualified candidates will demonstrate superior communication and organization skills while adhering to our high standard of excellence. Responsibilities Assists with reporting all adverse drug reactions to the Federal Drug Administration (FDA), National Cancer Institute (NCI), Oncology Cooperative Groups, IRB and sponsoring drug companies. Participates in the initiation of studies with pharmaceutical companies and cooperative groups. Chart review and data collection of patient medical records and creation of clinical record charts. Completion of data case report forms both paper and electronic. Oversees all databases maintained by the Cancer Clinical Trials Office, ensuring timely and accurate data entry and cross-referencing across office and study databases. Assists in data entry and monitoring of databases for data collection. Ensures appropriate patient follow-up as required by protocol. Oversees Data Coordinator staff. Prepares reports regarding databases for the Cancer Center Clinical Trials Administrative Directors’ review. Other duties as assigned by supervisor. Qualifications Required Qualifications: Bachelor degree At least 3 years of experience in a clinical trial database setting Fundamental knowledge of medical and scientific terminology Excellent organizational and communication skills (verbal and written) Computer skills with knowledge of Electronic Data Capturing (EDC) databases including, but not limited to, Medidata, RAVE, RedCap and OnCore Preferred Qualifications: Direct experience with Oncology Clinical Trials 5 or more years of experience working in a clinical setting Experience with Phase I and/or inpatient clinical trials IRB and GCP training Special Notes Resume/CV should be included with the online application. Salary offers based on validated years of experience. Some positions may offer location pay for UUP full-time positions ($4,000). Total compensation includes leave, health plans, and a state pension.
