Location: Hybrid Deland, Florida (2 Days Onsite, 3 Days Remote)
Job Type: Full-Time Direct Hire Position

Compensation & Benefits

  1. Salary: $78,000 $92,800
  2. Target bonus: $10,500
  3. Nationwide relocation available

General Purpose

Responsible for managing daily operations of the purchasing and supplies departments. Leads teams in procurement, inventory control, budget management, vendor relations, and contract negotiation while ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations. Reports to the Director, Materials Management.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Manage procurement, inventory control, and departmental budgets.
  2. Support order processing and maintain supply for internal and external customers.
  3. Negotiate contracts and manage vendor relationships.
  4. Ensure compliance with purchasing policies, wage/hour laws, and other regulations.
  5. Prepare reports, presentations, and performance metrics.
  6. Lead, develop, and coach team members, including workflow delegation and scheduling.
  7. Oversee disposal of surplus materials, supplies, and equipment.
  8. Maintain procurement files, VRS, MSDS/SDS records, and vendor rating systems.
  9. Participate in supplier audits, RFQ/RFP processes, and business evaluations.
  10. Contribute to business continuity planning and inventory management.

Must-Have Skills

  1. Leadership and problem-solving skills.
  2. Ability to work across functions and with external vendors.
  3. Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws.
  4. Procurement, inventory control, and budget management.
  5. Vendor relationship management and contract negotiation.
  6. Microsoft Office proficiency.
  7. Purchasing practices and MRP functions.

Preferred Skills

  1. Microsoft SQL
  2. Crystal reporting
  3. Experience with WMS (Warehouse Management System)

Experience & Education

  1. Minimum 5 years in purchasing or contracting.
  2. Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  3. Experience in healthcare or clinical laboratory settings, preferably kidney care.
