The Manager, Strategy & Analytics-Pharmacy Product Development will support a team that is motivated by the opportunity to reinvent pharmacy and improve health outcomes for our patients. This role is highly collaborative and will work in a matrixed environment to use the assets of the entire CVS Health Enterprise to develop and evaluate innovative strategies to achieve results. This role will also monitor and optimize these strategies through insightful analytics. The colleague will be tasked with uncovering and assessing new opportunities while striving to create operational excellence.

The position is part of hybrid team primarily based in Woonsocket, RI.

This role will report to a Senior Manager within Pharmacy Product Development.

Day to day job responsibilities may include:

  • Design and conducting a complex analysis using large and sometimes messy data sets
  • Developing key data points to evaluate program success, metrics and KPIs
  • Using critical thinking to frame business problems, acquire relevant data points, design analytical plans, and provide actionable insights and strategic solutions
  • Brainstorming with your colleagues to build out a creative approach for a new problem
  • Supporting in development of a strategic roadmap related to growth of pharmacy services, customer
  • experience, and new ideas
  • Developing a story and accompanying presentation that concisely summarizes findings across several initiatives and creates specific recommendations for the leadership team
  • Building dashboards and reports to track the results of a new initiative
  • Working to refine and automate meaningful data so insights can be updated and provided regularly
  • Preparing materials and presentations in a way that can be easily understood by non-subject matter experts
  • Engaging with internal partners and external health plan clients to grow our retail pharmacy business

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of working knowledge and experience in SQL environments such as Teradata and Snowflake analyzing large data sets
  • 1+ years of experience with analytics software and tools such as SAS, R, Python, Tableau, or Power BI.
  • 2+ years of experience with advanced data-wrangling abilities using SQL with ability to write scalable, production level code
  • 2+ years of working knowledge and experience in visualization tools
  • 3+ years Advanced Excel Skills (e.g., Advanced Formulas, Conditional Formatting, Charts, Graphs, VBA & Macros, etc.)


Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, Masters in Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, etc.)
  • Knowledge and experience working with healthcare data and pharmacy claims data
  • Strategic problem solving and/or new product development (e.g., consulting, with a quant focus)
  • Ability to communicate effectively and succinctly with a diverse range of stakeholders, both verbally and on paper, and with all levels of an organization
  • Proficiency in drawing insights, solving problems, and applying analytics resources

Education

Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent relevant experience

    Pay Range

    The typical pay range for this role is:

    $63,300.00 - $139,200.00

    This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
