Job Title: Manual and Automation Test Lead

Location: Irving, TX- Onsite

Type: Full-time

Responsibilities:

• Lead Test Planning: Develop comprehensive test strategies and plans for both manual and automated testing, ensuring that all aspects of the software are thoroughly tested and meet quality standards.
• Manual Testing: Oversee manual testing efforts, including test case creation, execution, defect reporting, and verification. Ensure thorough exploratory and functional testing to identify defects and usability issues.
• Automation Testing: Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks. Implement automation solutions for functional, regression, performance, and end-to-end testing to increase test efficiency and coverage.
• Team Leadership: Manage and mentor the QA team, providing guidance on both manual and automated testing practices. Facilitate knowledge sharing and professional development within the team.
• Integration and CI/CD: Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline. Ensure that automated tests are executed as part of the continuous integration process.
• Quality Assurance: Monitor and report on testing progress, coverage, and results. Analyze and communicate quality metrics and defect trends to stakeholders.
• Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure that testing efforts align with project goals.
• Continuous Improvement: Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and processes to enhance both manual and automated testing. Drive continuous improvement in QA practices and test automation methodologies.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of test plans, test cases, test results, and automation frameworks. Ensure that documentation is clear, accurate, and up-to-date.

Requirements:

• Experience: Proven experience as a Test Lead or in a similar role, with extensive experience in both manual and automated testing.

Technical Skills:

• • Proficiency in manual testing methodologies and best practices.
  • Strong experience with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, TestNG, JUnit).
  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Java, JavaScript, Python).
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools and processes (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).

• Leadership: Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage and mentor a team of testers effectively.
• Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Communication: Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and present findings to stakeholders.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with additional automation tools or frameworks (e.g., Appium, Postman for API testing).
• Knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
• Experience with cloud-based testing environments (e.g., AWS, Azure).
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and practices.
