Manual Machinist Apply
Job Summary
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
1) Operate drill press and milling machines.
2) Be able to read machined drawings (ASME Y14.5).
3) Work with close machined tolerances (0.001”).
4) Prefer for candidates to have their own tools and toolbox with measuring devices and hand tools.
5) Monitor tool wear and change tools and inserts as required.
6) Work to avoid rejection and maintain safety and quality at all times.
7) Must be willing to work towards continuous improvement of output, quality and delivery.
8) Ability to work independently.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Basic knowledge of manual and lathe machines
- Ability to read and understand drawings
- Must be able to communicate clearly
- Punctual
- Able to work with minimal supervision
- Dedication to a safe work environment
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 2 years of work experience in manual mill or lathe machining
- High School diploma or GED
- Rotating equipment/pump experience a plus
- Experience in handling large, heavy parts as well as smaller components
WORK HOURS: Full time, Monday-Friday 7:00 am – 3:30 pm. Overtime and weekends as determined by project/company necessity.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Must be able to move and or lift parts up to 40 pounds
- Ability to stand, stoop, kneel, squat, reach, lift and carry
- Must pass physical and drug test
Experience:
- Machining: 2 years (Preferred)
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
- Weekend availability
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
