Sulzer Turbo Services (STS) is an independent provider of services and repairs of critical turbomachinery.

We specialize in the repair, overhaul, and replacement of parts for high-speed rotating equipment such as steam and gas turbines, compressors, expanders, and other industrial rotating equipment found primarily in the Oil & Gas, Pipeline, Petrochemical, Ammonia, Nitric Acid, Fertilizer and Power Generation markets.

Responsibilities:

• Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to calculate dimensions not specified on print.

• Work with Department Supervisor to develop a machine plan.

• Maintain LEAN objectives within the department.

• Capable of operating all machines in the shop (including large mills, lathes, stripping

• Machine, manual lathe, VTL, tool post grinders, and other equipment)

• Work closely and clearly communicates with the other departments, Machine personnel, Supervisor, and Lead.

Work hours will be determined by workload and shift coverage needs. Typically, Day Shift will start at 5:00AM and end between 1:30PM and 5:00PM; Night Shift will start between3:30PM and 5:00PM and will end between 12:00AM and 5:00AM.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

• Must have experience working with turbo machinery.

• Must have the required tools to perform their expected tasks.

• Must be able to work overtime when necessary.

• Must be able to use precision measuring instruments.
