We at Global Life Science Hub are recruiting on behalf of an innovative biotech company based in Chicago, IL, that is experiencing rapid growth after securing two FDA approvals and advancing a strong pipeline of assets. As the company moves from R&D to commercial-scale operations, they are expanding their manufacturing capacity from 50L to 2000L by the end of the year, with plans to double their workforce within two years.

We are seeking a Manufacturing Associate I to join their team and contribute to downstream manufacturing processes. In this role, you will assist in purifying mammalian cell-based cultures, supporting the production of recombinant proteins in a cGMP environment. You will gain hands-on experience with AKTA purification systems and tangential flow filtration (TFF) while helping to ensure compliance with batch records and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in downstream purification processes, including column packing and basic troubleshooting in a cGMP environment.
  • Help maintain accurate documentation, including batch records and deviation reports.
  • Support the execution of engineering, clinical, and commercial batches.
  • Work collaboratively with teams to ensure smooth operation and compliance with GMP standards.
  • Participate in equipment maintenance and process improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Biological, or Biochemical Sciences, or relevant experience.
  • 1-2 years of experience in biopharmaceutical manufacturing, preferably with exposure to downstream processes.
  • Familiarity with AKTA purification systems and cGMP operations is a plus.

This is an excellent opportunity to start or advance your career with a cutting-edge biotech company, offering growth potential as they continue to expand through 2030.
